In his new Rug Collection for Roubini Rugs, the Mariner Collection, the soft color palettes and almost three dimensional textures evoke the feeling of sand and sea. With the use of luxurious wool and silk touches, these hand knotted rugs make a delightful and fresh collection. The collection was inspired by Campion Platt spending the last two years in the Turks and Caicos islands, where he is working on a large development at Ambergis Cay. The initial collection has 10 designs, and all can be custom sized for the client. The collection is full of aquatic themes, with an emphasis on the wonderful randomness of nature, the oceans, ethereal patterns, marine life, waves and our effect on the landscape.
